So what do ya think? Alvarez has been a big part of FC Dallas for a good while now and it’s about time it jumped – but over 400%?

  1. I know Arturo personally and have played with him at the club level, practiced with him while I played in college, and have seen him play at the professional level. In a somewhat bias opinion, Art is one of those players that even though his name is not in bold letters all over billboards and Pizza Hut Park, he game in and game out gives a stellar performance. I can’t count how many goals for FC Dallas have come from his personal creativity and vision over the past few years, and the FC Dallas organization just can’t ignore that. He isn’t a headline player but I’d say he is among the top 5 most important players at that club. Add that with some outside interest from european clubs, and Art potentially wanting to leave last year (Yea, I said it, and it was true before this raise) and you have a recipe for a 400% raise.
